Over many years, Bryn Melyn Group has welcomed a number of young people form Ireland into our residential homes in England and Wales. Whilst all of these youngsters have done well with us and placement objectives have been achieved, we believe that it should not be necessary for young people to travel away from their home nation, whether this is Northern Ireland or the Republic, to receive the services which they need.
Our intensive therapeutic domiciliary support programme, situated just outside Dublin, aims to prevent admission to any form of residential care for young people who have multiple and complex needs associated with trauma and disability which make it difficult for their parents or carers to continue to support them.
By ensuring there is a robust package of structured intervention going into the home, we can help young people to achieve their potential and stay safe whilst remaining within their family enabling exhausted parents to receive the respite and support that they need to keep their family together.
We are committed to increasing the number of domiciliary support and residential support programmes available through the Bryn Melyn Group in Ireland and welcome enquiries form interested parties.
